Maria grew up helping her parents in the kitchen of their Greek restaurant in London. After a classical French training, she worked as Head Chef at Delfina and the Whitechapel Gallery Dining Room. She has also worked with Ferran Adria at El Bulli and Stephen Terry and Elena Arzack in San Sebastian.
