We’re delighted to welcome Jeanette Winterson, one of Britain’s leading writers and journalists, to the library to talk about her new book Why Be Normal When You Could Be Happy?. Awarded an OBE in 2006 for her services to literature, Jeanette has won various awards across the world for her work, including the Whitbread Prize and the Prix d’Argent, and is now firmly established as one of our great literary voices. Her new book is the heartbreaking – and very funny – true story behind Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit, an exploration of the families, life stories and identity, which is sure to be one of the most acclaimed books of the year.
