For our April group, we are reading one of 2017’s most impressive and affecting debut novels. Ayobami Adebayo has crafted a beautiful story of the fragility of love and the power of grief. Set against the political turbulence of 1980’s Nigeria, the novel is at once funny, engaging and heartbreaking as it details the life of Yejide as she hopes for a miracle: a child.
Our reading group is a warm friendly space welcome to all levels of reader. We have tea, coffee, wine and a variety of nibbles, alongside a group of truly lovely regulars.
