This event has been postponed and will now take place on Tuesday 8th September.
Join us for an evening with distinguished journalist, national newspaper columnist, author and humorist Charles Nevin for stories of sprees in Bath from Beau Nash to Horatio Nelson and beyond.
‘Welcome to Bath! It is the middle of the eighteenth century and we are down by the old Pump Room, where it is the usual commotion of chairs and crutches, passing gamesters, assorted rogues, ladies and gentlemen, unimpeachable and otherwise, old and young fierce and fluttering, frowning and frowsy.’ And so begins Sometimes in Bath, a dazzling jaunt through the city’s rich and raucous history.
Dedicated to ‘all who come to and from this most enchanting and enchanted of cities’, we are invited to chart Bath’s history through myriad stories of the city’s most colourful visitors and inhabitants.
