Wee Book Fest : Chae Strathie and Captain Firebeard

Welcome to Cap’n Firebeard’s School for Pirates – the fiercest, baddest school on all the Seven Seas. Here, students are taught to be fierce and brave, and lessons include ‘walking the plank’, ‘pirate speak’ and ‘crow’s nest climbing’. Get ready for Chae Strathie’s latest adventure, as the class put these new-found skills to the test!

Chae’s popular live events are a mad mash-up of reading, singing, fun and daftness. He plays guitar and harmonica, badly but enthusiastically, annoying the neighbours in a small coastal village in Fife where he lives with his wife Corinna, daughter Eilidh, a one-eyed cat, two two-eyed cats, a goldfish (full complement of eyes also) and numerous uninvited spiders (eyes: lots). We can’t wait to see what he has in store for the launch of this brilliant new book!
