The Making of the Middle Sea charts the rise of the Mediterranean world from its very beginnings up to the threshold of Classical times. For millions of years the Mediterranean has produced some of the most astonishing history and culture on the planet, and its legacy extends around the globe to this day, providing some of the richest sources for the reconstruction of ancient societies.

Broodbank’s study is a masterpiece of archaeological and historical writing. He is professor of Mediterranean Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, UCL, and from October will become John Disney Professor of Archaeology and Director of the McDonald Institute at the University of Cambridge.

Come and immerse yourself in the history and culture of the Mediterranean world.
