Matt’s September Reading Group

A busy bookshop schedule pushes the reading group onto the second Tuesday of the month, rather than the usual Monday date.

This month, we celebrate the booker longlist announcement with two time winner, current longlistee and Nobel laureate J.M. Coetzee. Coetzee is one of the finest living writers, and we are reading one of his very finest novels, Waiting for the Barbarians. Allegorical, fantastical but also deeply personal, this is a novel that slips away from concrete definition. I can promise you however, that it is a magnificent and original work of fiction.
