Join the eternally engaging Jonathan Coe as he talk about his new work. Set in the 1950s, Expo 58 is rich in comedy, intrigue and political farce, describing the biggest World’s Fair of the century through the eyes of civil servant, Thomas Foley. Foley is thrown from his quiet desk job into the world of espionage as he is enlisted to keep tabs on those representing Britain at the fair. In doing this, Foley comes across a number of personal and political complications that test his loyalty to the full. Coe’s fiercely intelligent social commentary is sure to make for a most enthralling and entertaining evening.
