Cities is a collection of 60 new poems from award winning writer Elaine Feinstein. A book of travel, it takes us from Basel to Budapest, Tampico to Tbilisi, New York to Sydney and explores the landscape and history of each destination with vivid expressions charged by memories both fond and once forgotten.

Feinstein has made the juncture between poetry and memoir her own, and this is once again a deeply autobiographical piece of work. Delving into the travels and tales of her own life, and using the history and culture of the places she visits, Feinstein has created a book which is both poignant and amusing. Cities explores the haunted landscape between past and present, public history and personal memory, in simple intense lyrics.

Feinstein is a poet, novelist, short-story writer, playwright, biographer and translator. Cities is a fascinating collection by an incredibly creative and talented writer at the top of her game. This is an evening not to be missed.
