A multi-instrumentalist who partnered Jimmy Somerville in the 1980s band The Communards – achieving three Top Ten hits, including the biggest selling hit of 1986 “Don’t Leave Me This Way” – Richard Coles subsequently left the pop world to train for a priesthood in the Church of England, becoming what can only be described as a thoroughly modern vicar.
The much-loved parish priest and broadcaster introduces the eagerly awaited follow-up to his acclaimed memoir. Richard charmed us all with the first volume of his colourful, candid autobiography in which he divulged his pilgrimage from a wild life of sex and drugs to a life devoted to Christianity. Wry humour, celebrity anecdote and often very affecting affirmations of faith prove a winning combination.
The well-known vicar, former pop star with The Communards and Radio 4 host comes to Bath for an intimate event.
