Join us in celebrating A.N Wilson’s latest fiction which explores the life and times of the great British explorer, Captain Cook. Wilson takes us on a journey through the golden age of Britain’s period of expansion and exploration, from the perspective of botanist George Forster who joined Cook on his second journey to the southern hemisphere. Forster’s extraordinary later life, which dramatically ended in Paris during the French Revolution, is vividly recreated. In Resolution Wilson demonstrates his powers as a master of the historical and the human by uniting a remarkable cast of characters with the strength of human endeavour, ingenuity and valour.
